The Texas Chain Saw Massacre Saved My Life.

It also got me into my Screenwriting M.F.A. program (not that anyone needs one of those)

Maisie Sedgwick Deely is a writer/producer with a life long love of horror. She has also worked on the executive side of the genre landscape, including as Director of Development, Film, at Jordan Peele’s Monkeypaw Productions. She began her career on the agency track at CESD and Reich New York Models and Talent

Maisie also has an extensive background in Senior Leadership and Strategic Planning in the non profit sphere- she has lead CASE award winning rebranding efforts including in the capacity of Chief Communications Officer, for several elite independent schools. Additionally, she has a decade long background in Major Gift Fundraising and International Recruiting.

Maisie received her B.A. in Theatre and Film History at Sarah Lawrence College, where her affinity for story analysis and the craft of screenwriting began and continued as she developed her career in other arenas.

She honed her voice in the aughts through her micro viral horror blog “The Chainsaw Collective” and on old school horror message boards- developing the distinctive “Maisie Chainsaw” persona; somewhat erudite yet wildly deranged- regularly managing to get published on various zombified aggregating sites like az central.

Today she brings those years of knowledge and work to the projects Green Ribbon selects to champion and develops her own original work to bring a distinctly female driven and always mischievous vision to the fore.
